Today, rising Memphis star Fresco Trey returns with “Draft Kings,” a luxurious new single and video paid for by the sports tech entertainment company, DraftKings.
Coasting over colorful keys and percussion, Trey unveils a song of celebration, singing about the rewards that follow when you believe in yourself. “Draft Kings, I bet a hundred on myself,” he sings. “I been all alone, ain’t never need nobody else.” The visual for the track matches the lush instrumental. Trey adorns a crown at a banquet table, hangs in front of a castle, and is the center of attention at a press conference—enjoying a life of fantastical luxury.
With confident and memorable bars, an infectious melody, and a winning message of self-reliance, “Draft Kings” is further proof of Trey’s gift for writing rich, celebratory anthems. Before this single, he demonstrated his talents as a vivid songwriter on the October EP Heartbreak Diaries, which featured his Lil Tjay-assisted single “Feel Good” and “Fresh Off Heartbreak,” a meditative rumination on fractured romance.

He was recruited to play college basketball but opted to pursue his passion for music back in 2018.
